The Saudi Conventions & Exhibitions General Authority (SCEGA) has reported a 32 percent year‑on‑year increase in the Kingdom’s accredited exhibition capacity, reflecting sustained investment in line with Vision 2030 objectives for tourism and events growth. As of November 2025, 923 venues across Saudi Arabia now provide a combined 300,520 square metres of exhibition space — a 320 percent increase since 2018.

According to SCEGA’s latest Event Infrastructure Snapshot, the highest concentration of capacity is found in Riyadh, Makkah and the Eastern Province, accounting for 75 percent of total space. Major venues include the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center (70,000 sqm), Jeddah Superdome (34,000 sqm) and Dhahran Expo Center (25,600 sqm). Other regions expanding their exhibition infrastructure include Madinah, AlUla, Asir and Najran with new purpose‑built centers supporting emerging tourism destinations.

To showcase this momentum, SCEGA will host more than 2,000 international event leaders at the International MICE Summit 2025 in Riyadh on 26–27 November. The two‑day summit will highlight business opportunities in the Saudi meetings and exhibitions sector — one of the fastest‑growing globally — through ministerial sessions, CEO panels, and innovation platforms for future MICE leaders.

“Saudi Arabia is entering a golden decade of events, with global milestones such as Expo 2030 and the FIFA World Cup 2034 on the horizon,” said His Excellency Fahd Al‑Rasheed, Chairman of SCEGA and host of the International MICE Summit. He added that collaboration between the Kingdom’s destinations and the international events community is essential to achieving Saudi tourism’s target of welcoming 150 million visitors by 2030.

The Kingdom reached its original 2030 goal of 100 million visitors seven years ahead of schedule and updated the target upward after recording 60.9 million visitors in the first half of 2025 alone. Tourism spending during the same period exceeded SAR 161.4 billion (US$ 43 billion). Registration for the International MICE Summit 2025 is now open at www.internationalmicesummit.com.
