Glasgow. With fluctuating exchange rates continuing to enhance the UK’s appeal as a cost effective inbound destination for North American and European event organisers, the SECC has become the first UK venue to fix its prices at the current exchange rate.
The new price guarantee will see buyers take full advantage of the devaluation of the Sterling which has effectively rendered the SECC 25% cheaper than it was two years ago in the international market arena. Since the beginning of the year both the Sterling and the Euro have fallen against the Dollar with the fall of the Sterling more dramatic.
“By guaranteeing our prices at the exchange rate for the date of when a contract is signed by the organiser we are able to pass on unparalleled savings and take the risk out of currency fluctuations for our clients,” comments Ben Goedegebuure, Director of Sales at the SECC. “This further underlines our own commitment to both the value and quality propositions of our venue for the different conference, exhibitions and events markets.”
The new price guarantee creates an outstanding opportunity for the SECC to continue to grow its market share in both North America and Europe as it effectively becomes an economically driven cost effective option for inbound event organisers.
“We are also refining and extending our quality offering and presenting it at a competitive and more importantly transparent price without any hidden extras,” concludes Goedegebuure.
