Story Hospitality, a private institutional investment company based in Abu Dhabi, signed a partnership with international eco-label Green Key which supports all hotels under its portfolio with tools and resources for sustainability certification.
To augment its sustainability initiatives, the hospitality management platform, which is the hospitality arm of Abu Dhabi Capital Group, is planing to implement a strategy that is built on the protection of the environment. The firm is driving environmental and social change across its operations, supply chain and communities through some of the company’s green initiatives.
CEO Claudio Capaccioli said: “We understand sustainability as meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations. Through our various initiatives, we want to take all necessary steps to reduce any negative impact on the environment.
According to Story Hospitality, all the hotels embrace an eco-project based on five inter-connected pillars – Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle, Protect Wildlife, Reduce Water Consumption, Energy Conservation, and Local Care & Fair Trade. These elements are intertwined to improve the environment and project the practices to the rest of the world, the company claims.
Story Hospitality’s brand collection includes Story Hotels & Resorts and Cue Hotels. The company has a current portfolio of five hotels and resorts and plans to add four properties within the next 24 months.
Story will further expand into Abu Dhabi, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Makkah and Morocco. By 2025, Story Hospitality plans to manage 12 properties across the globe. In 2020 Story expanded into Seychelles.
