Mövenpick announces the opening of its second hotel in Stuttgart: From 27 January 2020, the international portfolio of the Accor premium brand will be expanded with the Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Messe & Congress. The newly-built hotel, which was designed by the Ulm-based architects Mühlich, Fink & Partner, impresses with its location in direct proximity to the trade fair grounds, the International Congress Centre (ICS) and Stuttgart airport.

The Italian star architect Matteo Thun was commissioned to design the interiors of the public areas as well as the 262 modern rooms and suites, which include five junior suites. The hotel restaurant, CIAO, not only serves up authentic Italian pizza creations from an original Moretti oven, but also a stylish ambience. Guests are able to see through the glass into the kitchen and look over the chefs’ shoulders as they prepare their creations. The CIAO Bar invites visitors to enjoy wine and bistro dishes with a view onto the trade fair centre’s piazza from its spacious summer terrace.

“The Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Messe & Congress not only fulfils all the prerequisites for an excellent business hotel, but also ensures that guests from all over the world feel at home thanks to its elegant design. We are looking forward to organising successful events and providing a much-needed antidote for a long day at the trade fair through our outstanding, personal service,” says Jürgen Köhler, General Manager of the Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Messe & Congress.
In addition to seven innovative meeting rooms, the hotel also features a 735 m2 ballroom to hold up to 695 people during conferences and events, which also has a 260 m2 terrace. Together with the conference space available at the Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Airport, this creates the largest hotel event area in Southern Germany across almost 2,200 m2.

The fitness and spa area of the hotel, with its classic sauna, steam bath and rainforest showers, offers relaxation and an indulgent antidote to the effects of a long flight or day at the trade fair.
“We are proud to be represented at this popular location with two Mövenpick establishments. With its focus on business services, the Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Messe & Congress is the ideal supplement to the neighbouring Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Airport, and we are greatly looking forward to making the most of our joint synergies,” says Duncan O’Rourke, COO Central Europe at Accor.
