The new Maritim Hotel Dresden in the historical Erlweinspeicher opposite the International Congress Centre Dresden (ICD) recently celebrated its topping-out ceremony. When it opens in spring 2006 it will have 328 rooms including 40 suites. An atrium with a clear height of 38 metres will form the heart of the building. The neighbouring ICD offers space for 6,000 delegates in 21 rooms including a 4,200-seat plenum. www.maritim.de
