UKEVENTS, the umbrella organisation for the UK’s events sector, has released its UK Events Report 2024, showcasing the industry’s significant economic impact. Compiled by Great Potential Consultancy, the report reveals that the UK events industry generates £61.7 billion annually. Spanning corporate, public, and charity events, the sector has proven its resilience and remains a key economic contributor following the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Corporate and Leisure Events Lead Economic Contribution

The report highlights corporate events, including conferences, trade shows, and product launches, as the primary contributor with £33.6 billion in revenue. Leisure and outdoor events such as music festivals, sports events, and cultural festivals add a further £28.1 billion, underscoring the industry’s diversity. The sector has also seen shifts in employment, with increased freelance roles and stabilising salaries, reflecting adaptation to post-pandemic demands.
