VIECON – Vienna Congress & Convention Center is restructuring its technical services as of January 1, 2027. Rather than relying on a single technology partner, Austria’s largest event venue will work with two preferred partners going forward: Concept Solutions and STEINERLIVE. Both companies were selected through a comprehensive, multi-criteria process that evaluated technical expertise and innovation capability alongside sustainability credentials, team qualifications, and safety standards.
Specialization by Event Format
The two partners bring distinct strengths to the table. STEINERLIVE has served as a technology partner since the venue’s opening in 2004 and specializes in the conference sector – particularly conference production, presentation management, streaming, and digital services. “Today, conferences combine face-to-face interactions with content production, international networking, and digital services. Our goal is to provide organizers with the best possible support through well-thought-out technical solutions,” says Thomas Wasshuber, Managing Director of STEINERLIVE.
Concept Solutions complements this portfolio with particular expertise in corporate events and brand presentations. “Corporate events create space for connections, brand messages, and experiences. We look forward to contributing our experience and creativity even more at the VIECON location in the future and working together to develop tailored solutions for event organizers,” explains Managing Director Florian Weber.
Greater Flexibility for Event Organizers
Event organizers will be able to draw on the competencies of both companies, regardless of the event format. “The market is evolving rapidly, and event formats are becoming more diverse and customized. With this new partnership structure, we’re creating additional flexibility and can meet our clients’ varying needs even more effectively,” explains Martina Candillo, Managing Director of VIECON.
Sustainability as a Selection Criterion
Environmental considerations also played a significant role in the selection process. Environmental certifications, resource-efficient processes, sustainable logistics concepts, and the ability to deliver green meetings were all factored into the evaluation. “We want to always offer our clients the best possible technical support for their events.
