The national tourism agency of the United Kingdom, VisitBritain, has become a key partner of The Business of Events for its 2023 program. VisitBritain’s Business Events team has earned a strong global reputation in the events industry, they emphasize that business events not only drive economic growth but also play crucial roles in culture, education, and opportunity.

VisitBritain is also home to The Business Events Growth Programme, which has supported over 150 events across Britain in various sectors, including technology, creative services, and medical and life sciences. The team has worked closely with different nations to support Convention and Visitors Bureaus (CVBs) in attracting international business, focusing on government advocacy, research, sector impact, and knowledge enhancement through educational workshops and toolkits.

Paul Black, Head of Business Events at VisitBritain, believes that partnering with The Business of Events will spotlight the dynamic and evolving business events sector, showcasing its significant economic and societal contributions and its commitment to driving positive change in the industry. Martin Fullard, Director of News & Content, appreciates the support from VisitBritain and acknowledges the importance of business events, not only as a source of inbound revenue but also as a valuable export for the country’s event services.

This partnership is seen as essential to the work of The Business of Events, and they look forward to collaborating on various projects with VisitBritain’s dedicated team.
