The Gran Via exhibition centre will host the World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC 2025) from 6 to 9 September 2025. The event, organised by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, is expected to assemble nearly 7,000 researchers, clinicians and specialists from more than 100 countries.

WCLC 2025 will run four days of scientific and clinical programming that address prevention, diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. The programme includes two symposia with emphasis on targeted therapies and multidisciplinary approaches, presentations on developments in thoracic surgery, contributions from more than 350 international speakers and the submission and presentation of over 1,800 abstracts. An exhibition area will provide space for companies and organisations, and the conference schedule also comprises educational sessions, industry symposia and networking activities.

    The 2025 congress returns to Barcelona, where WCLC was previously held in 2019, and will take place at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue. Fira’s calendar for the year includes more than 15 congresses focused on medical topics across its venues, notably CCIB, Gran Via and Montjuïc. WCLC 2025 will also present awards in categories such as early career researchers in tobacco control, most relevant scientific abstracts and mentorship in thoracic surgery.
