Geneva Tourism & Convention has published the inaugural Responsible Events Guide, a destination-specific toolkit designed for event and conference planners. The guide compiles contact details for local stakeholders and outlines nine thematic chapters covering topics from waste management to diversity and inclusion.

Supporting Local Sustainability Networks

Developed in response to organisers’ requests for clearer pathways to sustainable solutions, the guide includes “Did you know?” sections on Geneva initiatives, annually updated provider lists, practical recommendations, and checklists to track progress. According to Adrien Genier, director of the Geneva Tourism & Convention Foundation, the resource aims to bridge planners with the local sustainability ecosystem and make eco-conscious event management accessible.
