Starting 10 April 2025, event planners and participants at selected international conventions, domestic conferences and incentive tours in Osaka can access discounted Uber rides via special promotional codes. As the city prepares for Expo 2025 and the new Integrated Resort, OCTB and Uber Japan will share usage data and jointly promote Uber’s multilingual, multi‑service platform to further elevate Osaka’s appeal to meeting and event organisers.

Convenient Transportation for MICE Events

Under the three‑year Memorandum of Understanding, OCTB and Uber Japan will work together to enhance Osaka’s host‑city credentials, drive Uber adoption at OCTB‑supported events and support seamless attendee mobility. Hiroshi Mizohata, OCTB President, emphasises the goal of fostering a “seamless and accessible experience for participants from around the world.” Shiro Yamanaka, Uber Japan General Manager, adds that the partnership will “contribute to further enhancing Osaka’s appeal” as inbound and domestic visitors rely on Uber’s taxi, premium and rideshare options.
