Hotel company Marriott International has announced to have signed an agreement to bring the St. Regis brand to London. The St. Regis London is expected to welcome guests in the Mayfair district on the corner of Bond Street and Conduit Street in the coming year.
A major renovation of the former Westbury Mayfair Hotel and the addition of an eighth floor are planned. There will be 196 rooms in total, as well as a restaurant, a speakeasy jazz bar, a fitness centre and a spa. According to the company, the costs for redevelopment and transformation will amount to 122 million US-Dollars.
St. Regis’ Vice President and Global Brand Leader George Fleck commented: „We are delighted to bring the brand’s timeless legacy, cherished traditions and bespoke service to one of the finest addresses in London, and look forward to becoming the city’s most glamorous destination for locals and travellers alike.“
Marriott currently operates 16 properties under the St. Regis brand across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The signing will further enhance the company’s luxury footprint across the region.
