The Finnish Fair Corporation, operator of the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, has reported record-breaking figures for 2024. Nearly 900,000 visitors attended its events, revenue rose by 13.9% to € 58.4 million, and several new initiatives were launched to support future growth. These results bring the Centre’s business close to pre-pandemic levels and reinforce its role as a key driver of Helsinki’s economy and international reputation.

Expansion, new investments and record visitor numbers

In 2024, Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre hosted 36 trade fairs, 25 guest events, and 450 meetings and special productions. Highlights included eight international congresses with 34,358 participants, generating € 68.7 million in economic impact for Helsinki. New developments such as the launch of the Food Fair and the opening of the BÖLE Arena & Club contributed to the success. Looking ahead, a € 6 million investment in a new 5,000-seat movable grandstand and the Solar event space project will further boost Helsinki’s appeal for major international events.
