Associations Forum has released its 16th Associations Salary Survey, providing benchmark data within the not-for-profit and membership sector. The 2025 report highlights modest salary growth and underscores the continued importance of flexibility and organisational purpose in staff retention.

Associations Forum has published the 2025 edition of its annual Associations Salary Survey, offering sector-specific remuneration data for not-for-profits and membership-based organisations. Based on input from 255 associations, the report covers salary trends for 14 core roles and serves as a reference for boards and executives in workforce planning and budgeting. The 92-page Survey can be purchased for $300 (Members) or $600 (Non-member NFP organisations). 

New data reveals stable pay trends and rising value of workplace flexibility

While salary increases were modest this year, with an average rise of just 1.8%, flexibility in work hours and location remained the top driver for staff attraction and retention, cited by 95% of respondents. Organisational purpose and reputation also featured prominently (78%) as influencing factors.
