Visitors of the “Conference in a Different Way” found themselves in the middle of a virtual circus at the Prague Congress Centre (PCC). Roman Ray Staub, the General Manager of the Prague Congress Centre, did not mind wearing a magic hat with funny ears to entertain MICE and press delegates of the conference. The purpose of the conference was to show that things can be done in an unexpected, entertaining way, and conference attendees can spend a day learning and having fun at the same time.
The event started with welcoming words of Roman Ray Straub, or in fact with his holographic double being submerged in a conversation with the real man. Matthias Schultze then gave a video lecture on new trends in conference business. Conference in a Different Way was the first event using the high tech 4K projector.
Lunch time brought opportunity for networking, relaxing or just looking around the venue. The afternoon was linked with sports and champions. Czech hockey coach and psychologist Marian Jelínek was welcomed in a virtual hockey stadium, created by the technology by changing the background picture.
The total capacity of the PCC is up to 9,300 people and 13,000 m² of space. The complex also includes the Vyšehrad Business Centre and the 4-star Holiday Inn Prague Congress Centre with 251 rooms.
