The Audio Academy Festival featured sessions across four stages, bringing together speakers and industry representatives from organisations including the BBC, Bauer Media, Audible and Dolby. One highlight was the launch of Audible’s new adaptation of Dracula, starring Jonathan Bailey and Ella Purnell. The production was presented in the Dorchester Library, which was transformed into a dedicated Dolby Stage for the occasion.
Audio Academy Festival combines industry insights, professional development and immersive audio
Alongside the main programme, one-to-one mentoring sessions gave attendees direct access to commissioners, decision-makers and industry specialists. BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James also discussed his broadcasting career in an interview with fellow presenter Jeremiah Asiamah. Technology played a further role through an interactive sponsor experience developed with Motion Mapping and RCP London Events’ in-house AV and Media Services teams. Supported by sponsors including Beano Brain, PRS, Arqiva, BBC Sounds and RCS, the festival used spaces throughout the venue for live discussions, networking and immersive audio experiences.
