The event was drawing a diverse array of speakers from different organizations, including notable figures such as Mr. Eric Thill, Minister of Culture for Luxembourg, and Özlem Cekic, a prominent author and former politician from Denmark along with ICCA CEO Senthil Gopinath, IACC CEO Mark Cooper, and Sydney Nolan, who serves as the global account director at SoolNua as part of (SITE).

The event provided a unique platform for event coordinators and planners worldwide to convene and discuss pressing industry issues in an intimate setting. With a focus on topics like diversity and environmental policies, participants engaged in meaningful dialogue that promises to shape the future of the events industry and beyond.

MPI continued its offering of Learning Journeys, allowing participants to engage in immersive learning experiences outside of traditional venues. Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to embark on four distinct adventures: visiting Luxembourg Air Rescue experience, Backstage access with -SongDivision- inside a historic cinema and create original music together, Exploring future hospitality and tourism at Lëtzebuerg City Museum, and indulging in a sensory culinary experience at Novotel Luxembourg Kirchber.

MPI collaborated with SongDivision a European based musical team of professionals who helped to infuse musical moments throughout the general sessions. Notably, SongDivision organized attendees in groups of three during their backstage experience and helped create short and original tunes to introduce each speaker, adding a unique musical touch to the proceedings.

Alongside the innovative learning journeys and musical interludes, the program also included keynote sessions and breakout room discussions in more traditional formats. Many of these sessions were led by meeting design experts, such as the final general session by the Event Design Collective, where participants delved into the top reasons events fail. This emphasis on meeting design underscores MPI’s commitment to crafting exceptional event experiences.

Held at the European Convention Center Luxembourg (ECCL), nestled within the picturesque Convention Park Luxembourg and with a handful of hotels providing over 700 rooms, attendees enjoyed not only insightful discussions but also the opportunity to explore the historic old city center. From the majestic Grand Ducal Palace to the enchanting Notre-Dame de Luxembourg Cathedral, cultural and sightseeing experiences abounded. Moreover, the plethora of dining options ensured that visitors were never short of delightful culinary experiences.

Adding to the allure, MUDAM, the Contemporary Art Museum of Luxembourg, served as the splendid venue for the conference’s opening reception.

On the second evening, the MPI Foundation’s premier networking event took place at the Big Beer Company, Luxembourg’s sole micro-brewery. With live music and an impressive selection of beer on tap, the evening proved to be a highlight of the conference’s social calendar. Participants mingled and forged new connections amidst a vibrant and convivial atmosphere.
