ABPCO: New Co-Chairs Elected

The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers outlined ambitious plans to increase its reach and value.

The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) announced a 30% increase in membership, highlighting its dynamic approach and value to members. The AGM elected new co-chairs, Sammy Connell of the NASUWT and Pauline Beattie of Conference Care, to succeed Emma Duffy and Sarah Byrne. The new co-chairs thanked their predecessors for their contributions.

ABPCO outlined ambitious plans to increase its reach and value, including targeting 200 PCOs by 2027, increasing membership segmentation, expanding partnerships, strengthening industry presence, improving CPD provision and engaging with academics and students.

Heather Lishman, ABPCO’s Association Director, was optimistic about ABPCO’s future: “Our significant membership growth and the strong leadership team we have in place are clear indicators of a bright future. We are excited to leverage our past successes and explore new opportunities for growth, innovation, and professional development.”
