FCM Report: Professional Services Lead MICE Growth

FCM’s inaugural Global Trends Report finds professional services accounting for half of all corporate events worldwide. The study highlights engagement and digital sourcing as key drivers for larger, more effective meetings in 2025.

The report, produced by Cvent in partnership with FCM Consulting, reveals that professional‑services organisations account for 50 % of all corporate events globally and employ more in‑house planners than any other sector. This leadership is attributed to high event frequency, specialised audience needs and cost‑control considerations.

Engagement and Digital Sourcing in Focus

According to the survey, 80 % of respondents cite engagement as the primary objective of their meetings, driving connections and innovation. In EMEA, 35 % of planners are allocating larger portions of their budgets to bigger events, while 28 % expect overall event spending to rise in 2025. Simultaneously, the adoption of online sourcing platforms is increasing, helping planners overcome time and travel constraints and improve flexibility.e rise to offset time and travel constraints.
