The four-day event marks the first time this prestigious conference takes place in the Baltic States and highlights Lithuania’s emerging role in northern viticulture.

The conference will feature an impressive lineup of speakers including Erica Duecy, founder of Business of Drinks, Dr. Juha Karvonen, specialist in cold-climate adaptation, and renowned grape breeder Tom Plocher. Key topics include climate adaptation, sustainability, sparkling wine production, and emerging consumer trends. Delegates will participate in tastings, workshops and technical tours of Lithuanian vineyards.

Lithuania’s Growing Wine Industry

Despite challenging climatic conditions with temperatures dropping below -25°C, Lithuania’s wine industry has shown remarkable progress. The country now cultivates over 50 hectares of vineyards, growing both hardy hybrid varieties and experimenting with European classics like Riesling and Chardonnay. „Lithuania’s viticulture may still be young, but its progress is extraordinary,“ notes Arūnas Starkus, editor of Vyno žurnalas and Lithuanian Wine Championship Commissioner.
