Turkey. GL events and Serenas Tourism of Turkey collaborated to win the tender for managing the new convention and exhibition center in Turkey’s capital Ankara. The ten-year contract was signed by ACC President Bezci, GL Events CEO Olivier Ginon and Serenas Group CEO Mustafa Gurbuz.Built by the Chamber of Commerce, the Center has an ultra-modern and highly modular design ideally suited for hosting every type of event. It is a sizable meeting space of 80,000 m² with an auditorium that seats 3,100 as well as 15 individual meeting rooms. Boasting a hall of 10,000 m2, it offers the largest exhibition area available in Ankara. The venue is expected to generate average annual revenue of €15 million, thus creating added value to economy of Ankara and Turkey. With the addition of this new meeting facility, Ankara is well positioned to attract major national and international events. Serenas Group CEO Mr. Gurbuz said that they signed this contract for Ankara’s future. Mr. Gurbuz said “Ankara has a tremendous potential as a destination and it needs to be well presented. This convention center is a great resource for this purpose. If we can bring global organizations to Ankara, we can surely create an important hub here”.
