Azerbaijan offers a wide range of services for the business events industry. At IMEX Frankfurt, Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) and Azerbaijan Convention Bureau (AzCB) will reconnect with their international stakeholders in Europe.

“Returning to IMEX after such a long time is a great step towards full recovery. Azerbaijan, open to air travel from 101 countries now, is ready to host large-scale business events as well as accommodate incentive travellers in this new period with high-level services and exciting experiences,” said Florian Sengstschmid, Chief Executive Officer of Azerbaijan Tourism Board.

The Heydar Aliyev Centre, the Baku Convention Centre and the Baku Expo Centre are some of the venues that are able to host international events of different scales. On the part of the hotels, the Courtyard by Marriott Baku and Intercontinental Baku opened in 2021 and IBIS Baku-3-star hotels in 2022. Ritz-Carlton, Hotel Indigo as well as Wyndham Garden are planning to open this year.

“Azerbaijan is also a perfect destination to combine business and leisure with its UNESCO Heritage Sites, delicious local cuisine, amazing nature, wonderful hospitality and experiences developed preserving all these aspects of the country,” added Mr. Sengstschmid.

Azerbaijan is preparing to host the 74th International Astronautical Congress, the 99th International Session of the European Youth Parliament, and the Regional Congress of the European Association for Cranio Maxillo Facial Surgery in 2023, and the University Scholars Leadership Symposium in 2024.
