Basel. Congrex Switzerland’s decision to develop and establish a partnership programme with universities is part of a broader plan to reach out to the academic, medical and natural sciences communities in the coming year. Activities in the University programme will include sponsoring of university exhibitions, anniversaries, lecture brochures, editorials in university magazines, and in medical and natural science publications.
Congrex university partners include the 7th worldwide ranked University of Zurich (ETH) for which Congrex is a donor of the ETH Foundation; the University Hospital Zurich – where Congrex is a Silver Sponsor for “Lunch and Learn” events; the University of Fribourg – Sponsor for events of the “Year of Chemistry;” the University of Bern – Sponsor of the Biomedical Engineering Day; University of St. Gallen (HSG) – Sponsor of the DocNet Symposium; and other activities with the University of Basel.
Speaking about the launch of the University Programme and its related activities for Congrex Switzerland in 2011, Alain Pittet, Congrex Regional Managing Director Switzerland and Germany had this to say, “We are very excited to be part of the Partnership Programme with Swiss universities and honoured to be in such good company. We believe the Congrex commitment to Technology leadership is very synergistic with the leadership role our partner universities play in the medical and scientific worlds – and it is important to support these institutions as they continue to grow.”
