Dubai Business Events (DBE) has recognised members of its Al Safeer Programme for their effort to attract international conferences to the city. 26 member organisations were awarded at the programme’s annual appreciation ceremony held on 27 February at the Park Hyatt in Dubai.

In 2017, the programme supported in successfully bidding for over 30 international association conferences, which represents 67% of the bids awarded to the city during the year. These events are expected to attract over 25,000 experts. Dubai is also preparing to host over 50 ambassador-assisted events in 2018 and beyond, with an attendance of over 64,000 delegates expected.
