Porto. The eighth edition of the European Site Networking and Education Programme convened in Porto, Portugal on 9–12 April. Representing 26 countries, Site delegates benefited from the opportunity to come together and further demonstrate the value of the industry.
Sean Mahoney, Site President stated, “As members of the motivational experience and event community, we are attuned to the value of in-person events. There is no substitution for the thought-sharing that occurs when like-minded individuals connect. ESNEP 2010 was no exception, as 120 professionals participated in an education program focused on the business climate and trends of Europe today.”
Site delegates were warmly welcomed to Portugal’s diverse geography, picturesque locales, rich history and exceptional hospitality. ESNEP featured two keynote presentations that emphasized the need for a shift in thinking due to the changing dynamics of the motivational events market. Presenter Conor Kenny of Conor Kenny & Associates brought forward insight on new customer behaviors and how a more relevant customer service approach is necessary for business success. Andre Wiringa, CXO of Performance Solutions, presented an invigorating session about reverse thinking that inspired delegates to implement change themselves. Aligned with Site’s commitment to promote unique destination experiences, networking receptions and tours allowed delegates to explore the soul of Porto and the surrounding region.
