Croatia. Dubrovnik Travel DMC, Croatia’s destination management company is proud to announce the opening of two new Dubrovnik hotels geared towards business travels and the meeting industry.

The Valamar Lacroma Resort nestled in Mediterranean greenery on the Babin Kuk peninsula and the Radisson Blu Resort and Spa with its cascading terraces extending towards the sea and opened last month. Both hotels contribute in a spectacular manner to the increase of room capacity in Dubrovnik, with one hand Lacroma’s 385 rooms and on the other Radisson Blu’s 201 rooms and additional 207 luxury apartments. Dubrovnik has now become a viable destination for large congresses and meetings.

The Valamar Lacroma Resort features a multifunctional conference center that can be customized to different types of meetings, events and exhibitions. It is the largest hotel conference hall in Croatia with a total capacity up to 1.000 pax. The conference hall can be divided into four sections and has outdoor access, making it ideal for car launches and exhibitions. The congress center has seven separate meeting rooms whose walls can be partially removed to create larger exhibition areas. Additional meeting rooms are available within the remainder of the Babin Kuk Resort, all within walking distance of the convention center.

The Radisson Blu Resort and Spa houses the most advanced convention infrastructure spread over 1.100 m² on the lobby and lower levels, accommodating up to 900 delegates. The conference hall offers the added value of a separate hotel entrance, allowing for easy and quick access whether delegates are guest of the hotel or arriving from outside. Outdoor access also makes the conference hall ideal for car launches or exhibitions.

The Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 850 participants in a theater style set up and can be divided into 3 parts with each a separate soundproof pre-functional area. Additional conference and meeting rooms have sea views and daylight. A special feature of this hotel is that their apartments can yield and almost unlimited number of smaller breaks-out rooms (ca 200 apartments). Radisson has invested considerably in their state of the art technical audiovisual equipment with lighting and special effects and all necessary technical foundations to support modern communication requirements such as teleconferencing and broadband use.

Dubrovnik Travel DMC has created great promotional meeting package deals for last minute bookings, as well as for early 2010 bookings in both of these two properties starting from 199€ per person for a two night all inclusive meeting package. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to discover what Europe’s new hot spot, Dubrovnik has to offer for business and meeting travel.
