Challenging times. The Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre (SECC) celebrate after securing three significant business wins in just one week. The phenomenal week of business includes secured contracts with the Institute for Safety and Health (IOSH), International Association for Teaching English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) and the Scottish Patient Safety conference. These recent wins add to an already successful first quarter for the SECC with other contracts secured including the MOBO Awards.
Ben Goedegebuure, Director of Sales for the SECC said: “All the business secured by our excellent sales team in just one week is fantastic news for the SECC and Glasgow. In these challenging times, we are working harder and smarter with prospective clients to deliver conference solutions which will ultimately benefit them and bring business to our venue”.
Molly Doheny, Head of the Convention Bureau at Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, said: “These wins in rapid succession demonstrate Glasgow’s continuing attractiveness as a destination for meetings and conventions. We worked closely with the SECC on this conference business and it’s another great result for ‘team Glasgow’”. The SECC’s continued efforts to bring together both the value and quality propositions for the different conference, exhibitions and events markets it serves has been an instrumental factor in securing the recent wins. www.secc.co.uk
