The Events Industry Council (EIC) has announced the opening of nominations for its annual global recognition program, which includes the Hall of Leaders. The 2023 EIC Global Awards event will be held at the Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on October 16, from 5 to 8 pm.
The Hall of Leaders is a highly regarded recognition in the global business events industry, honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to shaping and advancing the sector. It celebrates those who have been innovative, influential, prolific, and altruistic in their contributions to the industry.
Nominations can be made online, the deadline is August 11, 2023. The EIC Global Awards will also recognize excellence in various categories, including the Pacesetter Award for emerging leaders with impactful innovations, the EIC Social Impact Award for efforts aligned with sustainable development goals, and the EIC Adaptation and Innovation Award for contributions in ensuring the industry’s relevance.
The event aims to acknowledge leadership, inspire inclusivity, and encourage diverse thinking within the industry. Non-EIC members and posthumous nominations are also eligible.
The honorees will be announced in August, registration for the event will also open in August, and sponsorships are available for those interested in participating.
The EIC Board of Directors Chair, Sherrif Karamat, expressed excitement for the celebration, highlighting the achievements of industry leaders and the possibilities their vision created. MGM Resorts, represented by Stephanie Glanzer, SVP & Chief Sales Officer, is honoured to partner with EIC for this event and eagerly looks forward to welcoming attendees to Bellagio in October.
