Initiative. Finland has joined the global meetings initiative to help establish a harmonised statistical framework. It is to express the economic importance of the meetings industry in figures according to uniform criteria and represent the industry in the Tourism Satellite Account (TCA). After Australia, Austria, Canada, Mexico, South Africa and Spain, Finland is the seventh member. The project will be financed by UNWTO, ICCA, MPI, Reed Travel Exhibitions and EIBTM.
