ICCA Meeting. This year’s ICCA CEC Summer Meeting was held in St. Petersburg, Russia from August 22nd to 24th. More than 70 delegates participated in the conference. The character of this meeting is typically educational and networking. The aim of this year’s event was to get to know how the meeting industry works in Russia and to present a new destination to the members of ICCA – St. Petersburg.

International experts performed on the conference, who touched upon various issues connected to the meeting industry in their presentations:

The conference was accompanied by a rich cultural programme, including a tour of the Catharine Palace and Gardens and a cruise on picturesque canals of St. Petersburg. The participants also had the opportunity to see the construction site of ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre, which opens at the beginning of the next year. “The level of the conference organisation and a rich substantive programme set up new, high standards of the organisation of our meeting” said Anna Gorska, the Head of the ICCA CEC, Gdansk Convention Bureau/GTO CEO. A conference app, made by Core-apps especially for the needs of the meeting, proved very useful in its organisation In a simple way you could find, for example, data of the participants, the conference programme, information about the city and alerts. The next ICCA CEC meeting will take place next year in Belgrade, Serbia.
