Hosted Buyer registration is now open for IBTM World in December 2021, which will be held for the first time in a hybrid format. The IBTM World in-person event will take place at Fira, Barcelona from 30 November to 2 December 2021 for the first time since 2019. The show will be followed by IBTM World Virtual, from 7 – 9 December 2021.

This year’s theme of ‘New Business, New Tech, New World’, reflects IBTM’s aim to enable meetings and events professionals to re-build and re-connect post-pandemic, according to the organisers.

IBTM World will include one-to-one business meetings between the world’s leading buyers and suppliers, networking opportunities and specially curated educational content to provide attendees with the tools they need.

The Knowledge Programme will feature speakers from the meetings and events industry and beyond, exploring topics such as safety, sustainability, diversity and upskilling. There will be a separate buyer-led association and elite corporate programme and more details on this will be announced in due course.

The organisers of IBTM World, RX, has worked with industry peers to create a safe working standard called “All Secure” for holding events in a COVID-impacted world, and IBTM is working with the local authorities and the Fira Barcelona to implement precautions.
