IBTM World has unveiled the 2024 Association Leaders Forum, developed in partnership with ESAE (European Society of Association Executives) and sponsored by Amsterdam Convention Bureau. The forum will focus on key challenges facing associations, including balancing governance, risk management, innovation, and adapting to global challenges.
The event, aligned with IBTM World’s 2024 theme “People.Power.Potential,” will explore how AI and digital tools can enhance strategic planning, conference engagement, and financial sustainability, while maintaining a commitment to sustainability. Topics will also include preventing burnout, equipping teams with the right skills, navigating geopolitical changes, and preparing for major electoral shifts.
Speakers include industry professionals such as Martin Boyle (IAPCO), Liesbeth Switten (AIB and ESAE), Dianna Steinbach (Institute of Management Accountants), Bobby Peralta (Philippine Council of Associations), Dennis Speet (Amsterdam Convention Bureau), and Cecilia Delgado Molina (International Sociological Association).
Welcoming approximately 130 Association experts, networking opportunities will punctuate the day’s interactive sessions, which include panel discussions, debates, and case studies. The forum aims to provide association leaders with valuable insights, tools, and connections to help build a thriving association sector for the future.
Claudia Hall, IBTM World Exhibition Director, said: “We can’t wait for attendees to discover the exciting programme we have planned for them at this year’s Association Leaders Forum. At IBTM World, we strive above all else to always provide genuine value, and tangible take-homes, for delegates. This year’s Forum does just that, supporting association professionals to build an association sector that is not only at the forefront of advancement, but which prospers because of it.”
