ICCA is introducing ICCA Advantage, a bespoke training programme aimed at strengthening the capabilities of business events professionals. The programme offers personalised instruction to help teams improve their competitive edge in attracting and managing international association meetings. Recently, destination management professionals attended BidSmart, a two-day session hosted by the Berlin Convention Office, which focused on refining bidding strategies through practical exercises, feedback on bidding documents, and real-life case studies.

Targeted Solutions for Business Events Challenges

The programme is designed to address the evolving demands of the business events industry by equipping participants with practical insights and strategies. Senthil Gopinath, CEO of ICCA, highlighted the programme’s value: “ICCA’s commitment to remaining a leader in the education space on the global stage is strong, exemplified by the debut of ICCA Advantage. ” Marco Oelschlegel, Director of Conventions at the Berlin Convention Office, added: “Continuous training of the team is so important — a seminar that is tailored to your own needs and also takes place in-house is a perfect solution for this! “
