The IFEMA expansion project in Madrid’s Juan Carlos I exhibition park is now entering its second stage. Up to 2007 it will add two halls with 50,000 sqm of gross space for 115 million euros, generating 200,000 sqm of fair space in twelve halls. The project also comprises five restaurants and 16 meeting rooms of 25 to 1,000 sqm. The convention centre has 13,000 sqm of space. In 2003 the exhibition park hosted 310 events and 70 fairs. www.ifema.es
