Registration is now open for the upcoming edition of IMEX America, the largest trade show in North America for the global business events industry. The event will take place from October 17 to 19 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, with Smart Monday, powered by MPI, on October 16. Despite challenging economic conditions in some regions, exhibitor interest remains strong for this year’s edition, according to a release.
Heather Gough, IMEX Sales Director, mentions that the demand for booth space has exceeded expectations at this stage of the show cycle. “It’s clear that many sectors of our industry have decided to power their way through the next few years. This is also reflected in demand for sponsorships, which has never been higher. Again, it’s a nice problem to have, as it gives both IMEX and our partners the chance to work together to develop fresh sponsorship packages that elevate the show experience for all, and especially for buyers,” adds Gough.
With the aim being to provide a less formal, more inclusive, and entertaining learning and discussion format, this year’s education and experiential programming features both old favorites and brand-new concepts. A new morning talk show, sponsored by Webex, takes its inspiration from The View for American audiences and Graham Norton’s Show for UK audiences.
“Elsewhere, we’re still delivering on what’s fundamental and evergreen. Contract negotiations, F&B and Risk Management remain essential to every event planner’s toolkit, hence programming them as just that – a toolkit!” says Tahira Endean, Head of Program.
Last year’s event attracted over 3300 exhibiting companies from 180 countries and more than 4300 buyers. This year’s IMEX America emphasizes themes of belonging, inclusion, and partnership, inviting attendees to ask themselves, “Are You In?”
The next edition of IMEX Frankfurt is Monday 13 May – Thursday 16 May 2024 at Messe Frankfurt.
