Your favorite locations…
London is such a diverse city and when it comes to interesting venues or new restaurants there is an abundance to choose from. My first choice is hot off the press and has yet to open but I know it will be an enormous success. The restaurant is Hélène Darroze at the Connaught.

Hélène is one of France’s most distinguished chefs. Hélène currently holds two Michelin stars at her restaurant ‘Hélène Darroze’ in Paris and when the restaurant opens on 14 July 2008 it will be known as ‘Hélène Darroze at the Connaught’. Hélène will oversee all cuisine at the Connaught, including the Gallery, private dining and, when it re-opens in the autumn, the legendary Connaught Grill. www.the-connaught.co.uk/the_restaurant.aspx

My second choice is the Boxwood Café at The Berkeley. As many people may be aware Ramsay is one of the leading British Chefs. The Boxwood itself is like one of Ramsay’s dishes – quintessentially British, with a modern, stylish twist and most importantly, it’s so very enjoyable. This is the perfect option for business guests who want to enjoy the very best in British culinary experiences. www.gordonramsay.com/boxwoodcafe

Loungelover serves up a heady mix of ultra cool and luxurious interior with smooth mellow music. This is the place for business guests to relax, unwind and see exactly why London is still rated as the jewel in the crown of cool European night spots. www.loungelover.co.uk

‘The Trafalgar’ is the perfect destination if you want to enjoy outside space. The stunning outside roof garden gives panoramic and unprecedented views of Trafalgar Square as well as Big Ben and the London Eye. Business guests can enjoy the bar as well as taking advantage of the stunning boutique hotel and range of meeting spaces. www.thetrafalgar.com

And finally, another of my favorite places to visit is Konstam at the Prince Albert. This new eatery-come-bar occupies a former Victorian pub in the constantly invigorated Kings Cross area. The restaurant is a massive success and with his clever seasonal menu, all sourced from within and around the UK capital, it has given us another reason to be proud of London. www.konstam.co.uk

London is the ideal meeting destination, because…
it gives visitors choice. There is a wealth of venues, meetings spaces, caterers, restaurants, bars, businesses and museums… the list is endless. More choice, more options and more value for money.
London also gives business delegates the chance to walk from their hotel, and in just a few steps, they’ll have access a whole range of leisure and entertainment. The variety of activities for delegates to enjoy in their ‘me time’ is second to none, with many of them, like museums, free to visit.
London is also the gateway to the rest of the UK – there are more train links, more international airports and more motorway routes from London than any other UK city, which means that travel to and from London is simple.

What do you like most about you city…
For me London is a melting-pot where each moment is filled with a new snapshot of art, culture or entertainment. It’s the most inspiring city in the world and one that constantly innovates and pushes boundaries from a development perspective. Right now it’s gearing up for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, which is very exciting!

I love the fact that you can choose any nationality and there will be a restaurant, event, concert or museum which will bring that culture to life. I also love the Thames, which snakes throughout the heart of the city, creating an ever-changing backdrop to the hustle and bustle of the thriving city.

In the evening, I love to catch the river bus to one of my favourite bars which overlooks the Thames – there you can simply people watch and relax whilst life passes you by…
