UIA. The International Meetings Statistics Report 2015 of the Union of International Associations (UIA) is available for purchase. The report shows the geographic distribution of international meetings and the top countries and cities in 2014. It also includes rankings of cities and countries for international associations meetings over the past 15 years, and overviews of participant numbers and dates over the past 15 years.
The comprehensive 57-page report covers 384,097 meetings. 364,834 of these took place in 2013 or earlier, 12,212 took place in 2014, and 7,051 are scheduled for 2015 or later. 252 countries and 11,959 cities are represented, including the 181 countries and 1,493 cities in which international association meetings were held in 2014.
For the past 66 years, the Union of International Associations has undertaken statistical studies on international meetings. The statistics are based on information systematically collected by the UIA Congress Department and selected according to strict criteria maintained over the years, thus enabling meaningful comparison from year to year.
Meetings taken into consideration include those organized and/or sponsored by the more than 38,000 international organizations which appear in the Yearbook of International Organizations and in the International Congress Calendar, as well as some national meetings with international participation.
International Meetings Statistics Report edition 56 contains 57 pages, plus 14 pages graphical supplement. The report costs 1,030euros as PDF and 1,235euros as printed version. Special price before 15 September 2015 is 824euros for the PDF via and 1,050euros for the printed edition.
