From 25 to 29 September, the place to be for the international pathology community is Cologne. For the first time the International Congress of the International Academy of Pathology (IAP) – a joint
venture with the European Society of Pathology (ESP) – is taking place in the city. 450 speakers will cover all aspects of the priority theme chosen for the Congress: Pathology, Guiding and Monitoring Therapy. Over one hundred exhibitors from the field of diagnostics and therapy are on hand to showcase their services in a 1,124 sqm exhibition space. A private organ concert in Cologne Cathedral, guided tours around the city and an evening closing event at the riverside club Tanzbrunnen will
round off the Congress agenda for 4,000 delegates.

Christian Woronka, Head of the Cologne Convention Bureau (CCB), is proud to host this international event in Cologne after years of preparation. “We are delighted to welcome the international pathology scene to our city this year. The science and research community plays an important role for Cologne as a conference and meeting place. The preparation phase has given us valuable insights into the field
of pathology and highlighted the strong profile that Cologne as a medical care hub maintains internationally.” From the very beginning of the planning phase, the CCB has been working in close partnership with KölnKongress to support CPO Hanser Service GmbH, the PCO implementing the Congress on behalf of IAP and ESP.
