Orlando. “This year, we have created more than 50 dynamic and innovative sessions dedicated to three industry buyer categories including, association, corporate and agency meeting planners. The topics vary from Mobile Technology, Social Media Revolution and Innovation Games® to Global Healthcare Compliance, Strategic Meetings Management, Event Design and Nutrition.” said Erica Keogan, Associations and Education Manager, Meetings & Events Portfolio about this year’s AIBTM Knowledge Programme.

Jessica Levin, President and Chief Connector of Seven Degrees Communications, has a reputation as the “Go To” person regarding marketing, event design and anything involving trends in technology within the industry. She will be leading the “Communication 2064” session.

Levin comments: “It’s a session that is designed to get you thinking about what could be and what will be. We look at how technology is impacting buying habits and how marketers need to create products and services that are anticipatory. This session is designed to make participants a little bit uncomfortable and to open their mind to the future of communications.”

Innovative and experienced consultants, Carmen Effron and Andrea Simon, lead a workshop subject “Stop Talking About It and Start Doing It”. In the session, both will demonstrate how to become innovative by using the power of “Innovation Games”. The content will empower people and showcase how to solve every day problems, and create big ideas that turn into major market transformations.

Carmen Effron, Founder and President of C F Effron Company LLC, says: “Grounded in the cognitive and the neurosciences, the games engage people in a way that frees their brain from their mind-maps and associations. Play is freedom at its best and a byproduct of playing games is having fun!  As we have “serious fun” we open our minds to see, think and feel in new ways and come up with transformational ideas. The participants will have serious fun doing serious work in a collaborative environment. The principal is to play games today and innovate tomorrow.”

Michael J. Lyons, Reed Travel Exhibitions, AIBTM Exhibition Director, concludes, “Education is key to our industry and we have once again listened close to meeting professionals from around the globe to identify their educational preferences. Therefore, we couldn’t be happier to have world-class speakers attending this year’s show. The sessions will be fresh, funky and inspiring, and surely take meeting professionals’ knowledge to a new level.”

AIBTM takes place on 10-12 June 2014 at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, USA.
