The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre’s (the Centre) new 11,000 sqm expansion is officially open for business. The venue hosts its inaugural event ARCHIDEX in the multi-purpose space. This also becomes the first event to utilise the entire Centre’s space.
The extension enables the Centre to comfortably accommodate larger events, as well as host more events simultaneously. The new flexible spaces can accommodate innovative and experiential delivery of events and have been designed to easily adapt to any customer requirements. This purpose-built space allows clients to explore new meeting designs, networking hubs and customise their delegate experience to suit any occasion.
New additions include an expansive foyer area adjoining the Plenary Hall, for networking, cocktail and social engagement activities, which can extend into Hall 6 – providing an additional 2,862 sqm. Hall 6, 7 and 8 also have a hospitality suite and one lounge which can be utilised for various purposes.
The Centre is happy to now provide more space for large international association meetings. The prospect of bidding for larger national, regional and international conventions is also now a viable option.
