B2B. Meeting and Incentive Forums – the industry event that connects event planners and hotels via pre-scheduled appointments – held their biggest event to date earlier last month. The Spring European Forum in Oslo saw 450 delegates conducting over 6,480 meetings in four days – a record amount of business.
Event partners included the Norway Convention Center, Visit Oslo, Grand Hotel Oslo, Hotel Bristol Oslo, Clarion Collection Folketeateret Oslo, Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Oslo, Scandinavian Incentives, SAS, Norway Convention Bureau and Melia Hotels & Resorts.
Of the buyers who attended the Forum, 63 percent were from agencies, while 25 percent were corporate companies and 12% associations. They included delegates came from Canon, Deloitte, Grass Roots, NIKE, Philips, Allen & Overy and BNP Paribas, among many others.
Suppliers included delegates from Hilton Spain, Accor Netherlands, The Breakers Palm Beach, Orlando Convention Bureau and many more. Destinations represented ranged from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Morocco, Norway, Poland and Switzerland, among others.
The overall response from participants was resoundingly positive, with 88 percent of buyers and 81 percent of suppliers who attended rating it as ‘excellent’. The average number of enquiries placed by buyers was 7.7. The next M&I Forum will take place in Estoril, Portugal, on the 23-25 and 25-27 October 2012.
