Award. MPI is now accepting nominations for six awards within the RISE Awards program. Nominees should be individuals and communities that have made a significant contribution to the meetings and events industry through influence, innovation, and global reach. Online nominations are currently being accepted and completed applications and all documentation must be received by Dec. 15. The full awards program will be presented in Vancouver, BC, Canada at WEC in 2010. Individual awards include the Young Professional Achievement, Meeting Industry Leadership, and Member of the Year (MPI members only). MPI chapters and communities can be nominated for awards in Community Achievement in Knowledge and Ideas, Community Achievement in Marketplace Excellence, and Community-Emerging Excellence.

The RISE Awards-Recognizing Industry Success and Excellence-features seven annual awards in three categories: organizational achievement, individual achievement and community achievement.  Recipients are recognized for innovation, global transferability, impact and influence.  Winners will join the MPI Community of Honorees, a group composed of past award winners and distinguished MPI leaders. www.mpiweb.org/Community/AwardsAndRecognition/Overview.aspx
