MyCEB Boosts Business Events Through New Collaboration

Malaysia's MyCEB forges key partnerships and enhances collaboration in Jakarta, Indonesia, marking a big step in boosting the business events sector

The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) reports it has conducted a successful trade mission to Jakarta, Indonesia, focusing on establishing a partnership with Asosia Travel Agent Indonesia (ASTINDO) through a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC). The collaboration aims to benefit both Malaysia and Indonesia by promoting cooperation in the business events industry, knowledge exchange, and exploring business opportunities. The MoC outlines areas of collaboration, including joint marketing efforts and information exchange on market intelligence.

The CEO of MyCEB announced the formalization of the partnership, expressing confidence in achieving mutual objectives. The MoC with ASTINDO is expected to contribute to the revival of the business events industry in both countries. MyCEB also engaged with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Jakarta to strengthen ties and received support for collaborative efforts in building an ASEAN Business Events (BE) community between Indonesia and Malaysia.

During the trade mission, MyCEB also met with the Indonesian Exhibition Companies Association (IECA-ASPERAPI) to discuss potential collaborative ventures in the international business events landscape. The visit reflects MyCEB’s commitment to international collaboration and growth in the business events sector, aligning with the vision and mission of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture of Malaysia. Overall, the trade mission laid the groundwork for new alliances and reinforced existing partnerships in the international business events industry.
