Hiroshima has established a new logo and identity to promote the city as a convention destination.

The Hiroshima Convention & Visitors Bureau held a design contest with 284 entries. The winning logo, unveiled in February, features orizuru, a folded paper crane. It stands for Hiroshima as the International City of Peace and Culture. “Meeting Resolutions” implicates Hiroshima’s commitment to promote peace and resolution, to support meetings as a means for people to gather, discuss and resolve issues, and to support meeting and event planners.
