A new platform for sourcing conference emcees, moderators, and facilitators has launched in January. The service called Conferenceemcees is said to match professional freelancers from around the world with both in-person and virtual events to serve in a variety of roles – from program host to moderator or overall conference master of ceremony.

According to a press release, Conferenceemcees.com has been tested since October 2020 and has now come out of its soft-launch period. Announcing the service, fonder Samme Allen, working herself as an emcee and meeting designer, said, they developed the platform in order to meet “a growing client need for experienced emcee, hosting and moderating that can be delivered cost effectively, flexibly and in the most sustainable way.”

The company currently operates out of the U.K. and Spain, and Allen says she hopes to open an office in the U.S. this year. The website, still undergoing programming, will enable planners to search for hosts and facilitators by languages spoken, pervious experience, sector knowledge, and other attributes, Conferenceemcees announces.
