Trade Show. The Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) declared ” Meet Taiwan – Reach a New High” as the theme for the 4th Meet Taiwan Week (25-29 September 2012). It is intended to highlight the success of the collaboration between governmental and non-governmental entities in bringing Taiwan’s MICE industry onto the international stage. Meet Taiwan Week, a five-day event, will kick off with a “MICE Industry Exchange Forum”. The Meet Taiwan Awards, eagerly anticipated by members of the industry and the organizers alike, will be presented on the 27th.

From 27-29 September, the EXCO Taiwan 2012 and the Taiwan MICE Advancement Program Achievement Exhibition will be held in World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1. As in past years, there will be nine major exhibition areas to show the up and downstream supply chains in the MICE industry. This year’s theme, “Digital vs. Live: Meshing Online & Onsite Experiences,” shows that the industry has set its sights on new horizons. EXCO 2012 will explore trending issues such as online communities, mobile applications, environmental protection design, exhibition technology, and installation services, and a variety of innovative and possibly influential proposals will be introduced.

On the 27th and 28th, the Taipei International Conference Center will be the site of the 7th Asian MICE Forum, which is now holding its 7th event since it started in 2006. Through the years over 3,200 individuals from Taiwan and around the world have attended this annual event, one of the most important in Asia’s conference and exhibition industry. This year Paul Woodward, managing director of UFI, or Jurriaen Sleijster, deputy CEO of the MCI Group, share their insightful views on industry trends.
