Messe Frankfurt.EWEA OFFSHORE 2013 was held at the Frankfurt exhibition centre from 19th to 21st November 2013. The congress with accompanying exhibition took place in the Forum Messe Frankfurt as well as the adjoining two-storey Hall 3.
A decisive role in the choice of Frankfurt as the event venue was the city’s top position as a financial and service centre as well as being the site of the European Central Bank. This played a role as one of the key issues of the congress was the financing for offshore wind energy.
“Congress Frankfurt supports “fairpflichtet”, the German code for sustainability in the organisation and realisation of events. In this context, it is very important for us to be a meeting place for future-orientated industries. This includes the development of renewable energy sources. EWEA OFFSHORE is a major wind energy event and was an attractive guest event for us,” said Claudia Delius-Fisher, Director Congress Frankfurt.
EWEA’s offshore event is held every two years and is organised by the European Wind Energy Association with headquarters in Brussels. It is the biggest event of its kind in the industry.
The event is held at changing European locations and was held in Frankfurt in 2013 after Amsterdam (2011), Stockholm (2009) and Berlin (2007).
