Monaco. The Grimaldi Forum Monaco is one of Europe’s first congress and culture centres to receive the ISO 14001:2004 environmental management certification. In the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, whose commitment and actions for environmental preservation are clearly known, Massimo Bosco, the representative of the certifying body Det Norske Veritas (DNV) officially handed over the ISO certification to Sylvie Biancheri, General Manager of the Grimaldi Forum Monaco. In the presence of all the Grimaldi Forum’s teams, His Serene Highness Sovereign Prince unveiled a plaque in the main hall of the building, as a reminder of the environmental management system that applies to all, in the daily activities of the centre.
This certification first endorses the work initiated in November 2007 by the entire staff and management following the Principality of Monaco’s eco-responsibility movement initiated by Reigning Prince. It also responds to an increasing demand of the MICE market in this field. Under the ACT GREEN banner, the Grimaldi Forum Monaco is actively promoting a cleaner, greener event organisation industry. www.grimaldiforum.mc
