Copenhagen has relaunched CopenPay, expanding the pilot into a nine-week programme featuring over 100 participating attractions across the city. From 17 June to 17 August, visitors “pay” for cultural and leisure activities—such as bike rentals, guided tours, and museum entries—by choosing sustainable travel options and completing conscious tasks.

Train Travel and Longer Stays Earn Rewards

CopenPay incentivises train arrivals with perks including free bicycles, yoga sessions and discounted attraction tickets. Guests who stay four nights or more qualify for additional benefits, while those arriving by electric vehicle or purchasing Sustainable Aviation Fuel for flights also receive rewards. The initiative aims to reduce tourism’s carbon footprint and promote responsible travel behaviours.
