The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and BestCities Global Alliance are pleased to announce the European Academy of Childhood-onset Disability (EACD) as the recipient of the 2024 Incredible Impacts Programme Grant. EACDs initiative aims to enhance access to sports, culture, and technology for individuals with childhood-onset disabilities, thus fostering a better quality of life. The academy plans to expand the program to future host destinations and establish an Impact Creation Task Force dedicated to advocating for inclusive policies across Europe.

ICCA and BestCities Celebrate Advocacy for Global Change

EACD was one of three finalists competing for the $20,000 grant, presented during the ICCA Congress in Abu Dhabi from October 20-23. The selection process involved submissions from all three associations, evaluated by conference delegates and a panel of judges. ICCA CEO Senthil Gopinath expressed excitement in awarding the grant to EACD, commending their significant efforts in championing the rights of individuals with childhood-onset disabilities.
